Local Guide each day in Austria
Friday Day 1: We travel to Dover and board the ferry for France and on to our overnight hotel.
Saturday Day 2: We continue through France & Switzerland to Austria and our home for the next 5 nights , the 4* Weisses Kreuz Hotel. A welcome drink awaits.
Sunday Day 3: Your journey today will lead you to the Engadin, a sunny high valley in the Southern Alps. Grisons is the largest of the 22 Swiss cantons with 150 valleys. Passing Chur we drive over the Julier Pass to St. Moritz, Pontresina and the Bernina-Pass to Tirano in Italy. Here we board the highlight of your journey – the panoramic carriages (2nd class) of the Bernina-Express that will take you back over the Bernina Pass to the Engadin. Then comes the most magnificent stretch over the Albula Pass to Tiefencastel. The coach will return you to Feldkirch.

Monday Day 4: Today is spent in Feldkirch. Explore this medieval city of the Counts of Montfort with a tour guide. Roam the narrow alleyways and squares and visit the exciting museum at the defiant Schattenburg, which towers over Feldkirch. Afterwards you can visit one of the many cafés, go shopping or join us for a trip to Bludenz and visit the Suchard Chocolate Shop.
Tuesday Day 5: Today we drive past Lake Walen to Lake Lucerne, where the original first cantons of the Swiss Confederation are located. In Altdorf, make a quick stop to learn about the home of William Tell. Afterwards, continue to Andermatt. Now you will board the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and travel in the panoramic carriages (2nd class) of the Original Glacier Express from Andermatt to Chur. This incredible journey on the most famous railway in the world will remain in your memories forever. The views from Oberalp Pass and the Rhine Gorge will keep you fascinated. In the meantime, the bus will be driven to Chur and will be there in time to return you to our hotel.

Wednesday Day 6: Today we travel through the Bregenzerwald to Germany and the Alpenstraße. This passes by impressive lakes and mountains to Füssen and Neuschwanstein Castle. The view is especially magical with snow on the roofs and “white” trees all around. After the tour of the castle and some time to explore Füssen, you’ll return to Feldkirch.
